Yamunotrī is a family-oriented Sanskrit camp in Texas, designed to provide an immersive experience in a Samskritam-speaking environment. Participants can explore a variety of topics, from everyday conversations (saṃbhāṣaṇa) to classical Sanskrit literature (kāvya). The camp is tailored for families who want to learn and practice Samskritam together. It also includes group activities like skits, yoga, and sattvic meals, fostering connections among learners. Accommodation is provided for all attendees.
Anyone can attend, and no prior knowledge of Samskritam is required (for the beginners level). Familiarity with an Indian language is highly recommended, as our syllabus is tailored for such students. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
No need to worry about transportation or accommodations. We will take care of transportation to and from the campsite, as well as any accommodations needed before or after the camp. Please let us know as soon as your travel plans are finalized.
Separate cabins for men and women with spacious bunk beds (~3 × 6 ft), with enough lower bunks available. The campsite is flat and neatly paved, making it easy to get around.
Please bring your own bedding. For those flying in for the camp, bedding will be provided.
